Riyadh, 08 April 2025: Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve – developed by Red Sea Global (RSG), the pioneering developer behind one of the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism projects – has been named Forbes Travel Guide’s 2024 Hotel of the Year, New Hotel. This achievement highlights the resort’s unique design, authentic cultural experiences, commitment to sustainability, and strategic location on Ummahat Island within The Red Sea destination.

The resort’s name, Nujuma, is derived from the Arabic word for ‘stars’, reflecting its invitation for visitors to immerse themselves in a unique exploratory experience and discover the secrets of one of the world’s most enchanting and thriving coral reefs.

Nujuma is the seventh Ritz-Carlton Reserve property to join a collection of exceptional projects globally, offering regenerative exploration experiences that deepen with each visit, providing guests with the opportunity to discover the beauty of this luxurious haven and explore unparalleled experiences.

Located on Ummahat Island, the resort opened in May of the same year and features an innovative design by Foster + Partners. The resort includes 63 luxurious overwater and beachfront villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms.

Ummahat Island is surrounded by pristine waters, white-sandy beaches, and diverse coral reefs, making it an ideal destination for experiencing luxury and enjoying natural beauty. The resort also offers authentic Saudi cultural experiences alongside luxurious experiences surrounded by a stunning natural environment, with a full commitment to sustainability.
